All right! No one speak to me until it is officially Spring and all this S N O W has ALL melted away! Ugh! Enough already! Kind of hard to get real exercise when I can’t even go out and walk. The mall just isn’t the same. SIGH.
But seriously. I have been making slow but steady progress on my Wellness Quest. I am still on the NO DIET COKE wagon. I have not kicked caffeine yet, but I have been brewing my own iced tea. I even bought myself a super cute and useful Mason Jar with a lid for my tea. :o) Hey, little things like that make me smile. And it’s always good to give yourself a little reward for doing something to improve your life.
Since we ARE heading to the land where the buffalo roam, I am trying to keep on track with my health improvements. I DID have a tiny little issue with some girl scout cookies, but I was smart enough to only buy ONE box of the ones that I like. I’ve also taken to running up and down the stairs at home a few times every night and dancing like nobody is watching as often as I can. The dogs are a little bit freaked* out by that because they are used to me being glued to a couch or chair most of the time.
But I have been managing pretty well with eating healthy, other than the girl scout cookie incident, I’ve done well. Lots of chicken breast and veggies. I have been really tired lately, mostly from the monotony of the crappy weather. Sunshine will be a VERY welcome addition to more of my day when it finally appears for me. Right now I drive to work in the dark, and drive home in the dark. But the evenings are lighter and lighter every day, so there is hope. ;o) Here’s to more sunshine in our days and a LOT less snow!
